|Synopsis||Sex workers Gary and Sarah, share a flat and ply their trade on a roster basis. Early one morning Gary returns to find Sarah still entertaining out of agreed working hours. Awaiting the transaction to be completed, Gary phones his boyfriend Keith, to find he's been dumped. Karen is also in for a shock. As the transaction is completed, her client expires.
Faced with the task of informing the Police or disposing of the body, they discover he's a high ranking Police officer. They decide to be a happily married couple, and the body is Sarah's long lost uncle from Australia.
Their plan is thwarted when Chief Inspector Watson suddenly arrives after a tip-off of unsavoury goings on in the area. The senior officer makes a miraculous recovery, then promptly dies again. As the smell of corruption in high places, espionage and the stability of national security is revealed, will the couple's lives ever be the same again and is the Chief Inspector really who he says he is?
The play is a tongue in cheek adult comedy drama in the worst/best possible taste overflowing with inuendo and double ententre.|
|Cast||1F 3M (minimum 4)|
Gary(20's) Sarah (20's) Mark (40's) Peter (50's)
|Production||Ideally a boxed set for entrances and exits. Minimal furniture will suffice. I've purposely excluded too many stage directions to allow freedom of movement. The character, Gary is a dream role for an actor who is willing to camp up his part to the extreme. Sarah is the perfect foil and at times is a little naive. Mark is the solid copper, at times driven to distraction by Gary's antics. Peter is the arrogant hypocrite who gets his comeuppance.|
