|Synopsis||Based on the origional short story by W.W. Jacobs this thrilling new piece by student writer Adam Gilbert brings to life a long dead piece. It is the story of Mr and Mrs White, their son Herbert and a long awaited guest, Sergent Morris. The visitor presents the Whites with a mummified paw saying that it grants the holder three wishes. He warns them of its concequences and with the uttering of an ominous poem he leaves the Whites alone.
Through and over time;
Beyond heaven and above earth;
No mind, no form, It only exists;
Ceased all will and thought;
The final end of Nature's dance,
It is the One alone.

Adam, currently a student at Ewell Castle School in Surrey, has performed in a variety of professional theatrical productions and has recently begun to write scripts for both students and adults alike. 'The Monkey's Paw' is his first adaptation of the gothic story and is suitable for productions of all types from college shows to those on the professional stage.
