|Synopsis||'The Man' enters a room containing a table and ten chairs. The room is a "moment in time." As he introduces himself it is evident he is not from this planet. He has been sent by the "Omnipresent" to oversee human frailty on a Saturday night and is being assessed for his suitablity for promotion to another "moment in time."
Tonight he will facilitate over group discussions, involving people who've died and have a chance to be reborn. Ultimately, however, he will be the final arbitrator. As he awaits the first casualty of human failure, he aclimatizes himself to life on earth and is shocked.
A fatal traffic accident supplies the first candidate and others follow.
The night has thrown up six people for suitabilty. Each will plead their case hoping to be given another chance on earth. Will "The Man" achieve promotion based on his objective assessment of the winning candidate?|

|Production||An open bare stage with a table and chairs. The play was written to be performed by a youth drama group but is suitable for any theatre company. Some ages are irrelevant as the director can cast ad hoc. Although only seven characters appear on stage there is dialogue for other actors.
A total of 18 characters speak off stage, six of which come on stage. Off stage dialogue can be recorded along with the sound effects, thus freeing actors coming on stage from distractions and other incidental diversions.|
